Sustainability is more than words for Cacique. We have numerous ongoing projects in the environmental, social and economic spheres. We adhere to Codes of Conduct and Socio-environmental Responsibility Standards, focusing on areas that generate a direct and positive impact on internal and external communities, as well as on the planet.

Social Responsibility

We are a 100% Brazilian company and we believe in the country’s growth potential. Our social responsibility projects have a positive impact on education, culture, environment and health in our community. We support teacher training programs focused on the environment and sustainability; we open our doors to technical visits from universities; we support the initiatives of the América Sabino Coimbra School; we donate material and equipment to universities and schools; we support and take part in academic and scientific events. In terms of culture and the arts, we support projects in Londrina and São Paulo, both directly and through legislation which incentivizes cultural development. We support the Casa Madre Leônia, which specializes in continuous assistance to cancer patients in Londrina, and we donate a monthly supply of instant coffee to the facility.

Some of our initiatives are: scholarship grants, internal and external training courses, internship and trainee programs, partnerships with local education institutions (SESI / SENAI), enforcement of the Jovem Aprendiz program, a govenmental innitiative to the professionalizaton of young people and preparation for the first job, as well as activities which involve our staff and their family members, promoting well-being and a spirit of togetherness.

Companhia Cacique de Café Solúvel has a corporate culture founded on ethical values and respect for people, labor laws and the environment.
As set out in our Code of Conduct, we expect that our suppliers hold true to the following principles:

• Honesty and transparency in negotiations;
• Meeting all legal requirements, especially labor laws;
• Respect for the right to association and collective negotiation;
• Zero tolerance for discrimination or any kind of harassment;
• Zero tolerance towards child labor or forced labor;
• Rural producers must respect environmentally protected areas and shall not infringe on their boundaries;
• Implementation of management programs for solid waste and pollutants, if applicable.
